Week 6 Part A: Engaging Your Customers - FaceBook Strategy

The 7 business accounts I followed on my Facebook page were Panda Express, Uber Eats, Duolingo, Coca-Cola, Sprite, Pepsi, and YouTube. There are strategies involved regarding all seven of these businesses that can be either mutually beneficial or advantageous for us.

Panda Express: The reason why I chose to like the page of Panda Express is because of our similarities. Although they are a restaurant and we are a cuisine, both achieve the similar goal of serving Asian style food. As we may very well be competing for the same target customers and demographic, I believe that it would be very beneficial to keep close with competitors in order to potentially cling on to some internal or external secrets of success.

Uber Eats: I fully intend to allow companies such as Uber Eats to deliver our food to customers who prefer delivery. This will definitely help generate sales and can be mutually beneficial for both of us. Building a good relationship with food delivery companies is great for the long run, especially as popularity and the number of customers grow in size.

Duolingo: Although there is no direct correlation with this business, during a previous blog post, I was made aware of the very smart and entertaining social media marketing strategies that Duolingo uses. I would like to replicate them in this sense by creating a social media page for my cuisine that enchants the masses. Being able to learn from their PR team and apply their PR strategies to our pages would be crucial for growth. In addition, as Duolingo is an application that helps with the learning of foreign languages, it can easily be applied in some sense to my cuisine as it focuses on Asian delicacies and culture. Down the line, as we become more familiar partners in success, there can even be food collaborations such as implementing a special "Duolingo meal".

Coca-Cola, Sprite, and Pepsi: These businesses are by far the biggest soft drink brands that can help quench our customers' thirsts. As opposed to a business like Panda Express, we would work as collaborators and help promote their drinks to the masses while gaining financially.

YouTube: This application is such a common necessity in this digital day and age. When alone, a lot of people enjoy eating while watching videos on YouTube, so I feel that this would definitely be a company that can better benefit our customers.

OVERALL, throughout Facebook, these companies post regularly with pretty standard advertisement strategies. There was no huge underlining blueprint that was being used for promotion, and I understand it completely. As Facebook is a much older social media app, there is a predominantly older demographic, which further shows me how different strategies need to be implemented on different apps in order to garner the most success. Using one consistent strategy may not work, so finding different specialists to manage each app is crucial.
