Week1A: My Blog Theme
Hey everyone, I went with a pretty basic abstract art theme for my blog! What's ironic about this is that I have never been attracted to these styles of art, nor would I have thought to have picked it for a theme.
The reason why I chose this to display my blog was not necessarily due to a changing of perspective over time, but more so from surprising relatability. When I saw this art piece, what I admired the most was the "controlled chaos" that it produced. Everything seemed all over the place yet so well put together at the same time. Recently, my life has felt this way with my messy and uncoordinated work schedule yet constant procrastinated victories. Although this is something that I must improve upon and am hoping to throughout the year, I felt that this was the best fitting theme to use for my blogs as of now.
As for the rest, I kept it pretty basic by only boldening and slightly enlarging the texts. I don't have much of a reason why I chose to leave the other aspects of my blog pretty basic, but nonetheless, that's what I felt looked best. Sometimes less is more and this was one of those instances for me.
I've always enjoyed creative writing and searching for more beyond what meets the eye, so this was a pretty fun little writing segment for me. Sometimes I'm able to find out a little more about myself as well.
I've never written a blog before, nor have I been around this website so all of this is still brand new to me. I'm hoping to improve throughout the semester and potentially transition to different themes as well. With that being said, I look forward to getting to know everybody!
Hey Austin! Great choice of a theme! I completely agree - controlled chaos! I can totally identify with my life as well! Being on the "procrastination train" myself I think your blog says "hey! then Relax and read!" I have never written a blog before either so I am enjoying reading what you wrote and I think you're off to a great start! Keep up the good work!
ReplyDeleteHi Austin,
ReplyDeleteI really enjoyed reading your blog and how you connected your personal experiences with abstract art. I find it fascinating how you described the "controlled chaos" and how it reflects your current life. Sometimes things that initially don't attract us can end up being surprisingly meaningful, right? Also, your decision to keep the design simple highlights the importance of the content, showing that sometimes "less is more." I completely understand that feeling of discovering more about oneself through creative writing. I'm excited to see how your blog evolves throughout the semester and the new themes you'll explore!
Hey there! I agree that the art piece is really quite nice, and love how you picked it despite it not being your usual style. I'm also hoping to improve upon my organization and chaos this semester, so here's to reaching our goals.
